Old Race Car

Dirt Track Supply based in Watertown, SD, is one of the leading suppliers of race car chassis and components in the upper midwest.

The business began in a garage as a used car and parts business in 1975 and 1976. Dirt Track Supply’s owner, Ron Anderson, used the business to help support his racing habit in those days. When the landscape in racing began to change in the 1980s, Anderson made the decision to go into business more seriously.

Dirt Track Supply opened at its current location in 1986 and then began building Anderson’s brand of Modified chassis in 1988. The business has evolved tremendously since the first Arrow brand Modifieds rolled out of the garage.

Today, Dirt Track Supply, DTS, also builds Arrow Super Stocks and Arrow Street Stocks that compete in the western region of WISSOTA along with the best dirt Late Models available to race teams.

Dirt Track Supply has the most comprehensive supply of Late Model parts in the upper Midwest for the top brands in Late Model racing, including Mastersbilt, Rayburn and Warrior race cars, as well as Rocket and Larry Shaw. Dirt Track Supply is also a stocking dealer for nearly every company that builds the bolt-on components for those cars.

For the young racers, Dirt Track sells the right parts at the right prices and helps with hands-on experience. Dirt Track Supply designs the cars, builds them and talks regularly to all of the drivers. If you’re a more seasoned driver, DTS has some things to share with you, too. The guys compile notes from all over WISSOTA country and around the U.S. from drivers in many different classes.

Products such as AFCO, G-Force, Simpson, Bell, Bilstein, Pro, Weld, Real Wheels, Bassett, Hoosier, American Racer, Integra, Wilwood, Performance Bodies, Intercomp, Ultrashield, Kirkey, Butler, Howe, Long Acre, Bert and Winters are just a few of the brand names on the shelves every day in the show room at Dirt Track Supply.

The parts store also offers a shock and spring dyno service, along with the ability to service rack & pinions, fuel pumps and power steering pumps. The shop includes a complete sheet metal fabrication area where they build bodies for their own brand as well as those who campaign other brands of cars. Dirt Track Supply also has a frame rack to repair and update virtually all makes of race cars.

The boys make aluminum bodies for drivers in the Late Models, Mods and Super Stocks, and then make them for our own Street Stocks, too. Dirt Track Supply’s staff has all of the tools many racers don’t have the room and money for in their own shop.

From the smallest parts from AFCO, G-Force, Simpson, Bell, Bilstein, Pro, Weld, Real Wheels, Bassett, Integra, Wilwood, Performance Bodies, Intercomp, Ultrashield, Kirkey, Butler, Howe, Long Acre, Bert and Winters to a complete race car that rolls out the door on new Hoosiers or American Racers, we’ve got the whole package at Dirt Track Supply.

Dirt Track Supply offers a used race car buying and selling service as well. Just call them or email them anytime to get an updated list or to be added to the list.

Dirt Track Supply couldn’t possibly name all of its regular customers, but appreciates them all.

Whether you’re just getting started in the sport or a seasoned veteran, Dirt Track Supply should be the first call you make for chassis and parts. Dirt Track Supply is located at 615 7th Street SE, Watertown, SD 57201.

In addition to offering all of the above at the shop and in the store, Dirt Track Supply also has a 36-foot enclosed trailer for trackside service in eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota. DTS has gas and alky, tires and wheels, safety equipment, shocks and just about anything the racer might need at the race track..
